A font's popularity indicates the percentage of yesterday's downloads per unique visitor. So if a font has a popularity of say 25%, that would mean that 25% of everyone who visited 1001fonts.com yesterday downloaded that particular font. To make the popularity value of a font as representative as possible, it is evaluated separately for PC and Mac font files in regards to the percentage of unique PC and Mac visitors.
