BM DoHyeon Font Family

Styles

About

Dohyeon is based on the style of old storefront signs in Korea, which were made by cutting letters from acrylic plates. (Where Hanna was modeled on signage cut more or less freehand, Dohyeon takes inspiration from a more methodical style of cutting). A distinctive feature of this font is that the strokes of consonants and vowels are connected to each other. In addition, the consonants “ㅅ” (siot), “ㅈ” (jieut), and “ㅎ” (hieut) come in multiple glyphs, a first for a Hangeul font, their shapes automatically changing depending on what vowel they appear next to.
