Gidolinya Font

Gidole is a beautiful mountain town in southern Ethiopia and Gidolinya is the language spoken by the people living there. I lived there as a child - hence the names and why I have chosen to channel any potential goodwill from this hobby project to donations to the Ethiopian Red Cross Society (ERCS).

The typefaces Gidole and Gidolinya are inspired by the classic DIN #1451. The letters are drawn with Euler spirals using circles as guidelines. This gives them a minimal look with the smoothest curves and curve to tangent transitions possible.

This font is open source. Help me by reporting issues - issues can be anything from errors, to suggestions, to requests, etc. You can contribute directly by forking and creating pull requests. FontForge is a free font editor and I've also saved UFO versions.
