naghosh Font Family

Naghosh (نقاش, Painter) is a font family designed to support naghashi, featuring five distinct styles. The initial two, namely naghosh light and naghosh LP light, represent classical Arabic typefaces. In all styles, modifications have been made to the shapes of capital (isolated) letters to engender a more consistent aesthetic.

The naghosh LP (Less Point) light is the only dot-reduced style in this font family, where glyphs with two or more dots are replaced with a new dotless shape.

The naghosh MC (Mixed Case) light emulates Latin fonts, enabling typists to toggle between lowercase and uppercase letters through a software Caps Lock key. This software Caps Lock feature can be activated or deactivated by inputting The Tatweel letter. more…

The final two styles consist of the Small Caps (naghosh SC light) and All Caps (naghosh AC light) versions within this font family.

The Latin component of this typeface family is the vibrant, monospaced iteration of the Dorsa font.
