narm Font Family

Narm (نرم, Soft) constitutes the complementary font family to narma, encompassing five distinct styles. The initial two styles, narm regular and narm LP, adhere to the traditional Arabic conjoint font styles. Furthermore, the configuration of the capital (isolated) letters has been adjusted to engender a more consistent visual appeal.

The narm LP (Less Point) denotes the only dot-reduced style in this font family, wherein glyphs containing two or more dots are substituted with new dotless shapes.

The narm MC (Mixed Case) mimics Latin fonts, allowing typists to select between lowercase (Initial) and uppercase (Isolated) letters using a software Caps Lock key. This software Caps Lock feature can be activated or deactivated by entering the Tatweel letter. more…
